  Introduction

  When life appears to be filled with doubts and improbability we try to find a source of motivation: what is yet to come? What about my well-being, the family? What will transpire if I do this and not that? This is for what tarot cards are often used, to fulfill a desire to know regarding the past and forthcoming.

  This Osho Zen Tarot emphases on gaining knowledge about here and now. It is a method based on the knowledge of Zen, a knowledge that says proceedings in the outside world only reveal our own views and outlooks, even though we ourselves could be uncertain about what those views and outlooks are.

  It assists us to turn our thoughts away from outside events so we can find a new clarity of understanding in our innermost hearts. The situations and states of mind depicted by the modern images on the cards are all presented as being principally provisional and transformative. The text in the given helps to understand and recognize the images in the easy, open and down to earth linguistic of Zen.

  There are 78 cards in the tarot deck, highlighting illustrations that can be understood in many ways. The cards are separated into two segments known as major and minor arcana. The major arcana has the 21 cards, and the minor arcana is further separated into four suits (rainbows, water, clouds and fire) each with cards including the numbers 1 to 10, an ace card and four court cards ( Page, Knight, King and Queen).

  Origin of the Tarot

  The first acknowledged tarot cards invented in fifteenth century in Italy. The tarot seems to have begun life as a card game, and was initially restricted to the affluent upper classes, though after the discovery of the printing press, the tarot cards turn more widely obtainable. Some authors have claimed (even with the obvious lack of evidence) that the pictures of the tarot cards hints a more olden origin, and have linked the tarot with such philosophies and civilizations as the prehistoric Egyptians and the spiritual Hebrew Kabbalah.

  Later Developments

  It was not till the 18th century that the tarot cards happened to be connected with the occult and spiritual actions with which they are frequently linked today. This initiated in 1781, when the freemason Antoine Court de Gebelin claimed in his piece 'Le Monde Primatif' that tarot cards has secret meanings (which he related with the prehistoric Egyptians) that could be utilized for divinatory uses.

  Since then other mystic and magical traditions, such as the order of the Golden Dawn, have claimed that the tarot has ancient roots, and that is has hidden wisdom to impart to those seeking enlightenment.

  The tarot's mass appeal increased with the publication of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot in 1910. Arthur E
dwards Waite was a Golden Dawn member, and in this new deck, drawn by the artist Pamela Colman Smith, images with occult symbolism were included on the numeric cards, as well as the trump cards. This deck was very successful (and remains popular today), and since then, hundreds if not thousands of diverse new decks have been published, with many enthusiasts creating their own.

  Uses of the Tarot

  The tarot cards have numerous diverse uses, including:

  1. Games

  This was its primary use, and it is still utilized for gaming uses in several European countries.

  2. Psychology

  Carl Jung was the primary conventional psychologist to attribute meanings to the tarot cards, when he linked them with the important epitomes that he assumed to exist in the joint human unconscious. Some therapeutic practices including the tarot have established from this insight.

  3. Inspiration

  Several artists and writers have created works enthused by the tarot cards

  4. Insight

  Fortune telling is conceivably the most customary use related with the tarot. The pictures on the cards can help the individual looking for the reading to see into their own intuitive knowledge. Others consider that the cards themselves embrace some sort of characteristic divinatory influence, which may be read by an expert.   Doing a Reading

  There is no fixed manner of doing a divinatory tarot reading. Though there are some general layouts or 'spreads', out of which the most well-known is the Celtic cross.   Minor Arcana Cards

  0 - The Fool

  Every second and with each step, the Fool abandons his past life behind. He carries only his pureness, simplicity and faith, in the form of a white rose, which he is holding in his hand. The design of his waistcoat represents the colors of four natural elements of the tarot deck, which indicates that he is in accord with all his surroundings. His sixth sense is working at its peak. At this split second, the universe is with the Fool, who is about to take a leap into the unknown. Escapades are waiting for him in the life stream.

  The card denotes that if you rely on your sixth sense right now, your consideration of the correctness of things, you can never go wrong. Your movements may seem irrational to people, or might even to yourself, in case you consider them with the sensible mind. However the 'zero' position captured by the Fool where faith and purity are the directors, not distrust and past events.

  1 - Existence

  This undressed female sitting on a lotus leaf of excellence, staring at the magnificence of the night sky. She is aware of the fact that "home" is not a real habitation in the external world, but an internal quality of easing and reception. The clouds, the stones, the bushes, the flowers, fishes, birds, etc. are our family in this celebration of life.

  We humans usually overlook this, as we chase our own personal dreams and consider that we need to combat to acquire what we require. But finally, our sense of separation is merely a deception, created by the constricted anxieties of the mind.

  Now is the moment to observe at whether you are permitting yourself to accept the amazing gift of experiencing at "home" anywhere you are. If you are, be certain to take your time to cherish it so it can grow deeper and stay with you. Though, if you have a feeling that the universe is about to get you, then it's time for a pause. Go out tonight and gaze at the sky.

  2 - Inner Voice

  The Inner Voice does not speak verbally but in a nonverbal linguistic of the heart. It is like a prophecy who just tells the truth. If inner voice ever had a face, it will look like the face at the middle of the above given card - aware, observant, and receptive to the dark as well as to the light, signified by the two hands grasping the precious stone. The precious stone itself symbolizes the lucidity which comes from exceling all dualisms.

  The Inner Voice, on the other hand, can be mischievous, as it leaps deep down into the feelings and transpires yet again to rise to the sky, like these two jumping dolphins in the liquids of life. It is associated with the heavens, via the crescent-moon coronet, and the world, as symbolized by the green plants on the figure of kimono.

  There are intervals in our lifespans when a lot of voices try to pull us in different directions. Our very chaos in such circumstances is an indication to search for peace and balancing within. Only then we will be able to listen to our own truth.

  3 - Creativity

  From the transformation of blaze and water under the heavenly light arriving from the sky, the character in this card is factually 'possessed by' the ingenious energy. Certainly, the experience of creativeness is an access into the enigmatic. Skill, proficiency and awareness are merely tools; the main thing is to leave oneself to the dynamism which begins all the things.

  This dynamism is shapeless, however all the shapes and configurations are born from it. It doesn’t matter which specific shape your creativeness takes - it can be a portrait or melody, potting a plant or cooking a meal. The essential factor is to be receptive to which needs to be conveyed from you.

  Never forget that we do not own our formations; they don’t belong to us. Real creativeness ascends from a unification with the god, with the spiritual and the enigmatic. Then it is a happiness for the maker and a boon to others.

  4 - The Rebel

  The dominant and imposing character in this card is evidently the ruler of his own fate. These is a symbol of sun on his shoulder and a torch in his right hand which represents the radiance of his own hard-earned accuracy. Whether he is affluent or penniless, the Rebel is truly a royal leader as he has destroyed the manacles of the world’s oppressive habituations and beliefs. He has covered himself with all the shades of the rainbow, rising from the dark and shapeless origins of his comatose past and developing wings to take off into the skies.

  His approach of becoming is rebellious - not for the reason that he is rebellious against anyone or anything, but due to discovering his own exact character and is unwavering to live in harmony with it. The eagle on his left hand is a chi animal, an envoy between world and sky. The Rebel dares us to be bold enough to take charge for who we are and to face our reality.

  5 - No-Thingness

  Living "in the hole" can be befuddling and even frightening. Nobody to hold on to, without any direction, no clue or options and opportunities may lie in the future. However it was only this state of unadulterated prospective that occurred beforehand the cosmos was formed.

  All you need do is to unwind yourself into this nothingness now...dive into this quietness within the words...observe this hole within the breath while exhaling and inhaling. And cherish every void second of the experience. Something sanctified is about to take birth.

  6 - The Lovers

sp; What we think love is in fact an entire continuum of connecting, diving from the world to the heavens. In other words, love is lust. Most of the people linger on there, due to the habituation which has loaded the lust with all sorts of hopes and suppressions. In fact, the main issue with love for lust is that it’s not long-lasting. Only if we admit this truth, then we actually can rejoice it for what it is - appreciate its existence, and bid farewell with gratefulness when it's gone.

  Then as we grow older, we will experience the kind of love which survives beyond lust and respects the distinctive uniqueness of the significant other. We begin to comprehend that our significant other often works as a reflection, replicating hidden features of our profounder self and assisting us to become complete. This kind of love is centered on liberty, not expectation or requirement. Its wings makes us fly up and up towards the universal affection that experiences all as one.

  7 - Awareness

  The mask of delusion, or maya, that has been preventing you from seeing truth as it is, is beginning to burn away. The flame is not the intense blaze of desire, but the calm flare of mindfulness. As it destroys the mask, the face of an innocent and young Buddha becomes noticeable.

  The awareness that is developing in you at the moment is not the outcome of any mindful "act", nor do you have to fight to make something materialize. Any feeling you may have had that you are holding in the dark is melting now, or will be vanishing shortly.

  Allow yourself to settle, and don’t forget that deep down you are just a spectator, extremely silent, conscious and unaffected. A passage is now unlocking from the boundary of action to that middle of beholding. It will support you to disconnected, and a fresh awareness will raise the mask from your eyes.
